About

I'm Emma Bäcklund, a freelance Graphic Designer & Camera Woman based in Torquay, Australia.

I was born and raised on a farm in the northern part of Sweden. In 2011 I made the move over to Melbourne to finish my Advertising Bachelor degree at RMIT. During my last year of university, I relocated to the Surf Coast. I started to freelance for the larger surf companies, Rip Curl and Quiksilver and soon landed a more permanent Graphic Designer role for Patagonia, where I worked for five years.

Since leaving Patagonia in 2018 I have been pursuing my own business ,U&I Label as well as Freelancing with a verify of design & marketing project. Please see Design work for references.

My Graphic Design experience covers areas such as design for in-store point of sale, catalog design, web design, newsletter design & layout, print advertising design, store fit-outs, OMNI campaigns, event planning.

You can book me for fashion, product, lifestyle shoots. I am also specialised in in-water surf and fashion shoots. Please inquire.

Photography

I also offer a photography service for business that is after Social Media content. I shoot and deliver an image set with a minimum of 15 images/video clips every four weeks, starting at $500. Please inquire and I will send you more info.
